AQA Tech Lead

We specialize in iGaming solutions, aiming to create seamless and engaging experiences for operators and players. We're developing a scalable and robust iGaming platform that designed to handle highload while remaining efficient during quieter periods. As part of our growing team, we are looking for a QA Backend Automation Engineer (SDET) with a strong focus on backend testing and integrations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our platform through automated and manual testing processes.

  • New Features: Implementing complex business logic features such as free spins and jackpots to enhance user engagement and retention.
  • Security Measures: Developing advanced anti-bot and anti-spam systems to protect our platform and ensure a secure gaming environment.
  • Analytics: Focusing on sophisticated analytics to gain deeper insights into user behavior and continuously improve our offerings based on data-driven decisions.

The Team

Our product development team is small but skilled, so every task matters. The team is experienced and helpful, always ready to lend a hand. We encourage asking questions and sharing what you know.

We plan our product development in group sessions, during which the whole team can easily talk to product managers and work closely together.

We can offer a remote and hybrid format for Cyprus based team members.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Technical Oversight: Lead system design, ensure scalability, security, and coding standards.
  • Code Review: Conduct reviews, ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date technical and API documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Guide the team, mentor, and support growth. Participate in hiring.
  • Project Delivery: Manage development cycles, prioritize tasks, resolve blockers.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee CI/CD pipelines, ensure software meets standards.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify risks, provide contingency plans, resolve critical issues.
  • Process Optimization: Implement tools, streamline workflows, and automate tasks.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Communicate updates, align solutions with business goals.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA practices, test automation frameworks, and quality management standards.
  • At least 5 years in software QA, with 2+ years in a leadership or Tech Lead QA role.
  • Proven expertise in test strategies, automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Leadership: Skilled in leading and mentoring QA teams.
  • Analytical: Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent at conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive: Anticipates issues and plans preventive measures.
  • Adaptable: Quick to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Expertise in designing test plans, automation, Agile/DevOps integration, and development best practices (TDD, BDD).
  • Proficient with Git, Jira, Confluence, and version control.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of exploratory, risk-based testing, A/B testing, and cloud platforms.
  • Fluent in English and Russian (oral and written).

Nice to Have

  • Advanced certifications in QA, Scrum, cybersecurity testing, or cloud.
  • Cloud testing, AI-driven testing, cross-browser, mobile app, and security testing experience.
