We are looking for a Legal Counsel to take ownership of all legal aspects of our iGaming business — with a strong focus on regulated European markets, partner contracts, and building trusted relationships with regulators and certification bodies.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Legal Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy in alignment with business goals and growth plans.
  • Act as the first in-house lawyer, shaping the legal function from the ground up.
  • Provide legal guidance to executives and management on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory matters.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Provide legal support for operations in European regulated (white) markets (e.g., MGA, UKGC, Germany, etc.).
  • Oversee legal aspects of operating in different jurisdictions.
  • Support compliance with AML, GDPR, data protection, and other relevant laws.

Gaming License and Certification Management

  • Support the application, renewal, and maintenance of gaming licenses across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support certification processes for products and platforms in collaboration with regulators and testing labs.

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including partner, provider, and client agreements.
  • Ensure that contracts align with business goals while mitigating legal and financial risks.
  • Develop standard contract templates and internal processes for contract lifecycle management.

Corporate Governance

  • Support the board and executive team with governance and corporate housekeeping matters.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate structures and documentation requirements in Cyprus HQ and other jurisdictions.
  • Advise on internal policies to support transparent and effective decision-making.

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and reputational risks across international markets.
  • Contribute to the development of internal frameworks to proactively address potential risks.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution

  • Manage disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters.
  • Liaise with and manage external counsel in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Provide proactive guidance to minimize legal risks and avoid escalations.

Your Expertise:

  • Qualified legal professional with proven experience in iGaming or other regulated industries.
  • Solid knowledge of European regulated markets and relevant legislation.
  • Hands-on experience with licensing, certifications, and regulator interactions.
  • Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Ability to work independently and build legal frameworks from scratch.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Russian; additional European languages are an advantage.
